Accueil Kateri Centre Inc. is a charitable organization that provides food bank services to families in need within the boundaries of the Rural Municipality of Ste-Anne and the Town of Ste-Anne. The food bank is open every second Wednesday distributing up to five meals worth of food per registered client.

To address the hunger issue in our community by gathering and distributing food, engaging in partnerships that promote self-sufficiency and providing community leadership on issues related to hunger.

Donation bins for non-perishable food are located at: Sainte-Anne Roman Catholic Church, Ste-Anne Grocer, Dayspring Fellowship Church, Pulford Community Living Services Store and Villa Youville.

Accueil Kateri Centre Inc. (Ste. Anne Food Bank) has received a generous donation of $20,000 from Farm Credit Canada (FCC) towards the purchase of refrigeration equipment that will significantly increase the food bank’s capacity to store perishable food for distribution to its many families in need.

Frequently asked questions on getting help and ways to help

How do I qualify for help?

Clients must reside within the boundaries of the town or the municipality of Ste-Anne. Clients must register and provide a Manitoba Health Registration Number and information such as the number of adults and children per household and sources of income.

Who do I contact if I need help?

The food bank is open every second Wednesday distributing up to five meals worth of food per registered client. We are located in the town of Ste-Anne at 132 Central Avenue. For more information please call 204-371-4984.

How do I donate food?

Food donations are gratefully accepted. For example, we accept canned goods of fish, poultry, fruit, vegetables, stew, chili, beans and other legumes, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes and soups. We also accept other non-perishable goods such as peanut butter, cereal (high fiber & non-sugar coated), pasta and rice, baby food, baby formula and diapers.

Donation bins are placed at local churches and grocery stores in Ste-Anne and Richer or contact us to make arrangements for drop-offs or pick-ups. If you wish to donate fresh vegetables or fruits please contact us to make the necessary arrangements.

How do I donate money?

Any amount you give will enable us to help alleviate hunger and provide hope.

Meals for 1 year ($ 480), 6 months ($ 240) , 2 months ($ 80) , 1 month ($ 40) , 2 weeks ($ 20).
